Teen Summer Reading Program 2008 at Millard Branch Library

 

May 31st-August 1st Teen Summer Reading Program 7th-12th grade at the Millard Branch Library in Omaha. As you read teenage or adult books win prizes in monthly drawing and by reading every three books, magazines, graphic novels, or by listening to books on tape or CD checked out from an Omaha Public library. Come to the library to signup or signup online starting May 1st and the reading program officially starts May 31st. You will need your library card and pin number. You do not need a library card to sign up for the following teen programs that are only offered at the Millard Branch Library:

  • Every Monday in June and July Noon -8:00 P.M. Scavenger Hunts
  • June 11th 1-1:30 P.M. Reading Buddies-Teens reading to children
  • June 12th 1-3:30 P.M. Chronicles of Narnia movie
  • June 14th 1-2:30 P.M. Advanced Acting
  • June 16th 2-3 P.M. Skin Care and Cosmetics
  • June 18th 11:15 A.M. to 5:30 P.M. Indiana Jones Movie Marathon
  • June 21st 1-2:30 P.M. Advanced Acting
  • June 23rd 2-3 P.M. Nail Care
  • June 24th 1-2:30 P.M. Crime Scene Investigation
  • June 25th 1-5 P.M. Read-a-Thon
  • June 26th 2-3 P.M. Homeschool Teen Book Discussion
  • June 28th 2-3 P.M. Teen Book Discussion
  • July 8th 1-1:30 P.M. Reading Buddies-Teens reading to children
  • July 9th 1-2 P.M. Severe Weather Spotter
  • July 10th 6-10 P.M. Lock-In
  • July 14th 2-3 P.M. Teen Driving and Safety
  • July 15th 2-3 P.M. Cartooning
  • July 16th 2-3 P.M. Hair Care
  • July 21st 2-3 P.M. Self-Defense
  • July 22nd 12:30-5 P.M. Batman Movie Marathon
  • July 23rd 12:30-5:15 P.M. Batman Movie Marathon
  • July 24th 2-3 P.M. Homeschool Teen Book Discussion
  • July 26th 2-3 P.M. Teen Book Discussion
  • July 28th 4-6 P.M. Build Your Own Sundae Party

All of these programs are free for teens 7-12th grade next fall!!!!! Signup by coming to library, calling 996-8067, or signup online at omahapubliclibrary.org on Saturday, May 31st. A brochure providing more information about these programs is available at the Millard Branch Library, 13214 Westwood Lane, two blocks north of Skateland, off 132nd Street.
